Default monk suggestion

I have 1 more suggestion

Well...I like playing as monk.
I hope there is an alternatives for tattoo though.
It is just that my monk covered by tattoo is not my preference.
I'm pretty sure that there are people out there who is not too comfortable with their character covered by tattoo.
I don't mind looking at other monks with tattoo...but not my monk :P

How about....glowing globes spinning around a monk? or
Since monk is something to do with divine nature, glowing like light would give impression of purity.

Default Guild Identification

How about a few other choises for how you choose to identify what guild you in. I thought it would be cool to choose between say the Cape, a Robe, or a Banner (i.e. a pole or something attached to your back with a flag flying above you head)

This I understand, I've been in parties with that one player who always runs off way ahead of everyone else. That player can fend for himself. It just sounded to me like you meant you didn't want to have to move around to heal.

I've never done GvG or PvP, so maybe this is why I don't see the over-powered thing. But I agree that the Ranger armor is, if not the best, then close to the best armor in the game.

Hmm... I don't use a lot of the Ranger magic due to the Death Penalty on some of the more useful skills, so again I haven't noticed this effect. I suppose when I start getting more powerful spells and such, this might be true, but until I reached level 10 or so I was having a pretty tough time staying alive.

Some interesting ideas, except for this one. I am currently messing around with ROSE Online, and this is quite possibly the most annoying thing about that game. You can't see anything in towns because of all the stupid booths set up to sell stuff. And they also cause serious lag for people on lower speed connections. I played Star Wars Galaxies for about a month and personally think that their auction system was probably the best solution for people who want to buy and sell things. No clutter, and a simple search to find what you want.

Exclamation Lil Things go Along way...

Well my friends and I have been thinking about how to improve guild wars. We thought that guild wars need more little things to make it more funny or realistic. for example breaking stuff. maybe if you showed something as a tree being effected by a fire spell that gets to close to it or somthing. Also i know ive already said this, but i think it would be nice if we could kick people or throw rocks/sticks ect at stuff dunno why but it makes the game much more fun. i just wanna chuck something at a monster or friend whoever.

Also it would be nice if other classes got some pets not as strong as rangers but somthing for fun like maybe somthing useless but just follows u around and acts as a weak meat shield dunno. Man i want to chuck somthing in the game to make it more realistic. i wanna do more realistic things

Also there should be more reaction to attacks although ive already said this. it would be nice if instead of some monster just somehow taking you special arrow attack maybe it would be nice if you actually saw him sorta give a sign of pain or a knock back a tiny bit(not effecting game play).

***if this is all that a net hears i want them to hear this.PLEASE let us dial uppers download 1 day ahead maybe not the whole game, but at least the character creation part intro. i mean when my friend does it he makes the character and the download is 10 seconds. when i do it i make the character wait the rest the day... go to sleep.. wake up and yay its done beause of downloading. and unfortunaely some how my computer internet got messed because of some phone line issue but i think its getting fixed. Well the point is its not fear that everyone else can play 2x longer than u when u got to wait all day just to make the character.even when playing my friend made a new char and the time it took me to leave town he was already done creating his char.

Also im hoping that on the real disk its gona contain all the info of creating chracter so my computer doesnt have to wait all day to create and get to first town. when i started this game i thought u meant the special downloading was when u were actually playing, but i think now its every time u exit a town new area ect. man so evil my friends always wait a half hour for me just to get into quest place and half the time when i get there they not patient enough to wait so they go exploring and die.
Also i hope that everytime u enter or leave dueling sections it doesnt make u download, man it would suck cause it'd be half hour and duel would already be over when i get out there.

there should be alittle more clarification on certain quest esp for the newbs like me. i mean i could hardly figure out the quest where u get gwens flute i had no clue... so sad. but there were some wacky quest where they gave no direction.

also the green arrrow should work automaticaly when doing a major quest and if u wanna use the green arrow to doa minor quest you should be able to click on the quest and waha the green arrow guides u.

Darn Stupid benchmark test is this week(final exit exam) Man this week is gona suck so much, then i got to run the mile with a cold i got.huh well i get itll be all worth it once i get on the computer...well if my internet gets better i mean it took 10 minutes just to download this reply to write stuff on...and if my computer doesnt have to download so much...huh pretty big post.THeres alot more i gotta say but i forgot....

How about....enter a building to set up a kiosk? like a shopping mall.
Shopping mall would be located in corner of a town; and people need to enter the building in order to set up a kiosk or shop.
In the mall, everything will be organized....like certain area will have weapons, and armour for other. Kiosk spots will be organized like a class room.
Remember...this is an option when you don't have enough gold to initiate proper trade.

As you mentioned...setting booth anywhere in the town would be very messy. People might can abuse this option even though it will cost 2 golds.
Thanks for your review Beelzebubba

I have to admit, this would be a really entertaining feature. In fact, it may even take up part of the time I would be using for dancing. Breaking stuff, throwing rocks, using dye to tag up trees with your guild's emblem...yup, that would be great.

Oh, and let's not forget about:

About the more faces idea, someone mentioned. How about allow a function to use your own face. Some games already support this feature, where basically like all 3d models you wrap a bit.map/mesh image around the head. Id just love to have my own dude with my face on him.

Prop's like hair, beards etc can still be added after you have your face on your character's head/face.

This green arrow should point the player roughly in the right direction, but not accurate to the pin of where the quest has to be completed. I feel it would spoil the fun of finding where to go etc, but yeah giving a green arrow that appears on the world map roughly in the area of where the quest has to be completed would be nice, at least that way you know it somewhere in that area. and you dont have to bother about walking around scratching your head and trying to think back where (etc etc) place is.

Hmm Beta weekend on this weekend cant wait. has anyone looked at this thread. will anyones interesting idea be in this beta weekend? i just curious thats all.

Default unrestricted PvP

I believe that PvP combat should be almost unrestricted, except for towns and things like that, so that entire guilds could fight wars with each other. You could have 40-man guilds charging at each other to wage an all-out war. That would be quite a sight. As it stands right now, only certain areas and quests allow for PvP. Why not everywhere? It would make people be a little more cautious and force smaller guilds to be careful about what they do. Maybe they could have certain larger areas(as opposed to just towns) that offer protection from other players. Other than that, I say it should be open season.

because zerging a smaller guild has nothing to do with skill or balanced tactics.

This might be cool to see, as long as it was organized and people couldn't just set up a shop anywhere they wanted. I think maybe have different stores pre-made where you could add your inventory. Sort of like an auction system, but with seperate areas for different merchandise. Like a weapon shop for weapons, an armor shop for armor, and a general store for dyes and crafting materials and things. Neat idea, but I still think the easiest method is just a simple searchable auction screen.

I know many have mentioned it, but more than 4 character slots. I would suggest 8max 6min.

Also to add to the character slots, more money sinks to increase inventory space. Some form of Auction house / Advanced Trade method would be nice as well.

More Customization options:
To put emblems on your weapons and armor, like the guild emblem, or other designs. Ways to change the color scheme of your armor. Like a money sink that lets you customize your armor like the guild capes. Maybe more character customization as well.

An in Mission Lag timer. If someone gets kicked out, you have the option to pause for a short while and wait for him to reconnect. This way you dont cheat him through part of the mission, but also you do not have to restart the entire thing.

Better pathing and overall computer(enemy) AI. The ability to Run Riverside Providence without doing any damage and getting all those drops is ridiculous.

i think once full version comes out...majority part of the game will be stored on CD. And any changes or new contents will be streamed to your computer.
putting only 62 kb client file on CD would be waste. They'll fill entire CD disc with game content so that you will download less things.
no worries

For the GvG zerging and small restricted guild wars, i think there should be CHOICE. when you channalge a guild, you should be able to say how many peoplw will be allowed each side, with a max of the number of players online in the smaller guild. also there should be an option to have skirmishes between guilds, with nothing on the line. this would let the less competitive players in guilds particapate in the fun GvG wars without risking the guilds place on the ladder.

A lot of people badmouthing the game here are pople who have no "actual" skill in gaming, and are annoyed that they cant level higher then something and kick its ass without trying. they are annoyed at not being able to breeze through all the missions without trying hard, and at having to think about what they do and how to do it, to those people i say this. Go back to playing WoW and everquest if you hate what makes this game good! STOP trying to make this game easier for yourself, and STOP trying to change what is good and many people like!

Anyway the suggestions i can make are limited, not having played the game (stupid amazon and its no acsess key ) but i think the stuff i said is right on the spot, and HOPE that i can get myhands on a key for a BWE. otherwise, this game looks great, and just remember ANet, CHOICE IS GOOD!
